Combatting Food Insecurity with "craigstable"
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, 1 in 5 military families faced food insecurity – nearly double pre-pandemic levels. Together with Craig Newmark Philanthropies, the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) took action to invest big in the fight against food insecurity. As part of this mission, BWF took a leadership role in the craigstable network.
About craigstable
Craig Newmark Philanthropies devoted $25 million to combat food insecurity through craigstable, a network of organizations working together to address the issues of rising hunger and food security in America. The cohort of experts are collaborating to tackle a clear but complex challenge – how to feed hungry Americans now and how to build food security for every American in the long term. The network, guided by BWF, includes DC Central Kitchen, FareStart, Feeding America, God’s Love We Deliver, and World Central Kitchen.
